Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Review: 'Tutti Frutti'
Tuesday 31 July 2012 21:28
Today I have the third installment of my Revlon Lip Butter review series for you all! This time I will be reviewing the shade 'Tutti Frutti' which in the bullet looks like a very scary bright orange, but in reality looks lovely on. Again I won't go into too much detail into what the lip butters are as I covered that in detail in my first lip butter review of 'Peach Parfait' here.
As I have mentioned, 'Tutti Frutti' is a bright orange shade that translates to be much softer when applied to the lips. In terms of the texture and formula, I can say that it is much closer to the creaminess of 'Sweet Tart' than to the gritty, drier texture of 'Peach Parfait'. I have found this shade really easy to apply, it glides on with no resistance and can be worn with one coat for a sheer wash of colour, or built up to be much stronger as I have photographed below.
I am a big fan of this shade! I got this in a trio pack on Buyapowa.com recently along with 'Peach Parfait' and 'Candy Apple'. I didn't have a choice of the shades I got but knew that this was one of them and in all honesty, I didn't expect to like it! It looked way too bright and a little scary, but I have fallen in love with it I must admit! It seems to go well with my skin tone and brown hair colour, but I would be interested to know how it looks on other people.

The staying power of this lip butter is fantastic. Much like the other shades, I found that I didn't need to reapply for a few hours, even after eating and drinking with it on. After eating, I found that the colour wore much more in the center and inside of my lips than on the outside, which I suppose is a good thing!
The finish of this shade was also similar to 'Sweet Tart', being very buttery and glossy when first applied but soon drying to a more matte stain as time goes on.

The only downside I have found to the lip butters so far is that they melt very easily! I have already had to put two of them into the fridge a few times to make them solid again, but this isn't too much of a hardship and they can be easily repaired.
The Revlon Colorburst lip butters are available in Boots and Superdrug for £7.99 each. As always, I would love to know what you think to them- what shades do you love? :)
