21st Birthday Nail of the Day: Glitter Marble Nails

Wednesday, 8 August 2012 22:14

I apologise that the second photo is blurry, I had real trouble holding the camera still with just one hand haha! Today I have a nail of the day post, for the nails I did for my 21st birthday which is today. Th photos are of each hand, as every nail turns out differently and I wanted to show you how they all turned out.

I won't explain how I did it as I followed a YouTube tutorial, which explains it brilliantly and probably far better than I can myself. The link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9A_9FH7e-A if you want to try these for yourself. The instructions are relatively simple, but actually fairly hard to get just right!

The nail polishes I used to create this look were No7's 'Poolside Blue', Barry M's 'Flamingo Pink' and 'Cyan Blue' and Sinful Colors' 'Daddy's Girl', with E.l.f's 'White' as a base.

I added my own twist by using a silver glitter top coat from 17 over the marbled nail polish- I think it turned out okay, not perfect but I was happy! What do you think to them? :)

PS. Would anybody be interested in a 'What I Got For My Birthday' post? I love reading other people's but have never done one myself, so I though I'd see what you all think?

    1. Thanks! Yes I would love to see how it turns out for you :) I would test the colours in the water first as some nail varnishes don't spread out in the water so not all are suitable to use :)xxx
