Miners Cosmetics 'The Matte Factor' Lip Paint: Review and SwatchesMonday, 20 August 2012 22:05
I firstly have to apologise for my over-a-week absence from blogger- I've been focusing upon my university work as I have two Summer projects to get through so it has been a hugely boring week or so! I have a post close to my heart for you all today, a review and swatches post of my favourite lip products of the moment. They are Miners Cosmetics 'The Matte Factor' lip paints in 'Peach' and 'Hot Pink'
For those of you who might not have heard of Miners before, it is a cosmetics company that has a wide range of affordable make-up products that is mainly based online, but can also be found in some pharmacies . I have known about the company for about a year now and finally put in an order the other week, this is by far my favourite of the products I have tried.
'The Matte Factor' lip paints are a liquid lipstick that apply like a gloss but that quickly dry to a gorgeous matte finish. I would say that they are similar to the Collection 2000 'Cream Puff' range, though I much prefer the shade range of Miners lip paints.
As you can see, the applicator is a brush tip that is the kind of thing you get with a lip gloss. I find this product so easy to apply and the packaging is perfect: small enough to fit in your pocket or handbag easily.
The formula of these lip paints is like nothing else I have tried. The product glides on so smoothly and evenly and doesn't catch on dry patches on your lips which is a huge bonus. It looks like a tinted gloss almost at first, but within a few minutes dries to a matte finish. I also have found that the lasting power is amazing, I usually only top up once throughout a whole day. The colour wears off nicely too, not in blotches like you can experience with some lip products.
L-R 'Peach' and 'Hot Pink'
Above is what 'Peach; looks like on my lips. This is now my favourite product to wear for everyday: it is lovely and neutral and I would think it would suit most skin shades. It is clearly a peach colour but is closer to a pinky-peach than an orange-peach if you catch my drift?
Above is 'Hot Pink'. Again, I feel this colour is suitable for everyday despite it being a vibrant pink. It is such a beautiful shade of pink: not too strong, not too muted. A firm favourite in my collection!
I can't fault Miners 'The Matte Factor' lip paints, to put it simply! There are 6 shades to choose from, ranging from light pink to cappuccino, so there is definitely something for everyone. You can find them on the Miners website here for £3.99 each- at that price, how can you resist!?
