Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 'Crush': Review and SwatchesSunday, 28 October 2012 17:05
I am a huge fan of Revlon at the moment, these Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains have become a huge part of my make-up routine lately. I have three shades of these now and 'Crush' is the latest in my collection. I have already reviewed 'Lovesick' and 'Rendezvous', so I won't go into huge detail about the formula but will focus more upon the specifics of this shade, 'Crush'. You can click here for the first review in this series, which has a little more detail on the balm stains in general.
'Crush' is my favourite the of three shades I own. It appears to be a deep black cherry/purple shade in the crayon, but when it is applied it is much more of a beautiful berry shade. It is the perfect shade for Autumn and for that reason I doubt I will be wearing much else after trying this! The packaging of these products are gorgeous, almost identical to their Clinique equivalent, the 'Chubby Sticks', with a twist up applicator and a crayon stick.
Out of the three shades I own, I actually find that for some reason the balm aspect of this shade lasts the longest. The formula is quite moisturising but this does wear off after about an hour; but compared to the other shades this is a huge difference in time (the balm on the other two lasted around ten minutes). The stain lasts all day without topping up and barely rubs off at all, it really is so impressive. I have worn this whilst eating too and it still stays put! The application is really easy and the product goes on so even, with buildable colour.
As I mentioned, this is my favourite of the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains I have tried so far! The colour is just so lovely. As I mentioned before, please do check out the reviews of my other shades- 'Lovesick' and 'Rendezvous' if you would like more information on the balm stains in general. My review of 'Lovesick' in particular went into the most detail if you are interested. You can buy these for £7.99 from Boots or Superdrug, but I actually got mine free as it was in the 3 for 2 offer at Boots!
Have you tried these too? What do you think of dramatic Autumn lip shades?
