Taylor Swift 'Wonderstruck' Perfume: A ReviewThursday, 8 November 2012 11:00
I recently included this perfume in my October Favourites post ans a few people requested that I write a separate review on it, so here it is! I have never reviewed a perfume before and I am no expert, but I thought I would let you know my thoughts on it. The perfume in question is Taylor Swift's 'Wonderstruck', of which I have the 50ml bottle. Here is what Superdrug says about it:
"Wonderstruck draws inspiration from Taylor’s personal life experiences, making every element of the brand authentic.Wonderstruck is a charming and sparkling surprise of vibrant fruits, kissed by a bouquet of soft petals and a touch of sweet indulgence.
The flawless beauty of freesia, apple blossom and raspberry spark a swirl of vibrancy and feminine allure.
In the heart, a sweet surprise of blissful vanilla is embellished by airy, sun drenched honeysuckle and white hibiscus.
Notes of golden amber and sandalwood are woven with a kiss of lush peach."
The first thing I just have to mention is the packaging. Unfortunately I didn't keep the box it came in, but that was lovely in itself. The bottle is a purple/blue base with a holographic overlay, which is causing the beautiful rainbow effect you can see in the pictures. There are 3 charms on a gold chain dangling from the top, which I think look so cute! The lid is plastic but looks like gold, giving it a bit of a high end look and feel,
It smells absolutely heavenly. I can definitely detect the apple blossom and raspberry within it, as it has quite a fruity scent when first applied. However, as it starts to adjust to my body, it turns a little musky and deep; which I would guess is the notes of amber and sandalwood coming through. It is quite a particular scent which might not be for everybody, but I just love it.
Another thing I love about the perfume is how long the scent lingers for. I can smell it on myself all day, although it is of course stronger towards the beginning of the day. I find this amazing for a product of this price and I am so glad I invested in it.
When I ordered mine off the Superdrug website back in August, it came free with the bag in the above picture. It is described as a 'weekend bag' and is huge! It is really well made too and the fabric is gorgeous. I don't think it is still available now which is a shame, but I hope they do bring the offer out again soon as this was an amazing gift to get for free.
Taylor Swift 'Wonderstruck' perfume is available from most perfume shops, but I bought mine from Superdrug, where you can get it for £27.99 for 50ml. In my eyes, this is an absolute bargain!
