Review: Sexy Hair 'What a Tease' Backcomb in a Bottle

Today I am going to review the Big Sexy Hair 'What a Tease' Backcomb in a Bottle for you. I was kindly sent this product to review by Hairtrade and you can purchase it from the Hairtrade website here for £11.66. Here is what Hairtrade say about the product:

"This medium-firm hold sexy hair instant teasing spray provides ultra-hip height as the teasing effect. Its special formula contains expanding ingredients that will give your hair massive height that's easy to shape and style."

Sexy Hair sell premium hair products that are used in hair salons across the country. This backcomb in a bottle really appealed to me when I read about it on the Hairtrade website as by nature I have extremely thin and limp hair, which is almost impossible to inject volume into no matter how hard I may try. I thought that this product would be great to review for this purpose, as if it worked it had to be really really good!

The packaging is gorgeous- a bright red shiny bottle with an easy to use spray cap. To apply to the hair, you lift up sections are simply spray directly onto your hair without shaking the can beforehand. I saw instant results, as it seemed to hold my hair exactly where I had pulled it up effortlessly. It didn't make it look crispy or stiff as many products often do, which is another bonus.

The image below shows the effect it had on my hair. I tried to give the roots of my hair a boost with the product and it definitely did the trick! It gave my hair a lovely tousled effect. I am confident that if I had wanted a more dramatic look, it could have easily been achieved by spraying the product into deeper sections of my hair, but I was happy with the look I had achieved in the picture. However, I will apologise for my very grumpy face in the photo, I promise I am not really that miserable!

The only tiny downside is that the product left a little bit of white powder residue, similar to dry shampoo, on the top of my hair. However, it wasn't hard to get rid of; I simply brushed the top of my hair lightly and it disappeared.

You can buy this product from Hairtrade here for £11.66. I would definitely recommend it and would probably repurchase this product!

  3. Oooh this sounds fab! I have fine hair but lots of it so the ends go wavy and the roots go horribly flat, may have to give this a go!
