Today's post is going to be a review of one of my favourite lipsticks from my collection: Topshop's 'Wicked' from the 'Dark Side of the Nude' collection. I received this lipstick as a Christmas present from my sister, she knew I liked it when we went shopping one time and surprised me with it and I love it!
It is the first Topshop lipstick I have tried so far but it really makes me want to try more. The packaging is different to the permanent Topshop lippie collection; it is a matte black cylinder bullet with glossy geometric patterns on the lid. The box it came in was the same design (it looks a bit battered in the top picture!) which is a lovely touch.
The shade itself is so unusual. As you can see in the image below, it looks like a really dark plum/brown which appears to be close be a black. However, when swatched and applied to your lips, it is much more of a deep plummy- red which is absolutely gorgeous. Admittedly, this bold shade wouldn't be for everybody, but I really really like it!
The formula of the lipstick is great. It stays on most of the day- I wore it on Christmas day and it stayed put pretty well even after I had eaten Christmas dinner! It applies lovely and smoothly too, without drying out my lips.
If you are looking for a dramatic dark statement lipstick, this is a fab choice! I can't find it online anymore but have recently seen it in my local Topshop for £9, so it may still be available in shops!
What do you think? You you like dramatic lipsticks from time to time?
