Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 'Honey': Review and SwatchesWednesday, 6 February 2013 10:00
It is no secret just how much I love Revlon at the moment, their lip products in particular. This is the fourth shade of their Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains that I have bought- 'Honey'. I have already reviewed the other 3 shades I own, which are 'Lovesick', 'Rendezvous' and 'Crush', so with this in mind I won't talk too much about the formula but I will try and focus more upon the specifics of this shade. I talk about the formula in the most details in the first review of my series which is here if you would like a bit more in depth information.
From what I have seen through other blogs 'Honey' is one of the most popular shades among the beauty blogging world. It applies quite sheer, possibly the most sheer of the shades I own so far. It is one of those shades that can only be described as 'your lips but better', as it has a lovely natural finish when applied. Again the packaging is fabulous; the twist up applicator and crayon style shape makes it super easy to apply accurately to your lips.
As with all of the balm stains I have tried so far, the formula is lovely. It doesn't dry out your lips at all and does have a moisturising effect which is great for a stain. However, with this shade I am unsure about the staying power as it is quite a sheer shade to begin with. Although, I like to top up my lip products regularly anyway, especially with the balm stains as the balm side of them does tend to wear off pretty quickly.
I do love this product and the shade is really pretty, though I tend to go for the bolder colours- that is just me! However, another triumph for Revlon in my eyes. If you would like to see my other reviews of this product for the other shades I own, you can find them here: 'Lovesick', 'Rendezvous' and 'Crush'. You can buy these balm stains from Boots or Superdrug for £7.99, but do hunt for a bargain as they are often in 3-for-2 offers.
Have you tried these? What do you go for- bold or neutral? Thanks for reading!
