Today I have a review of a product I was super excited to get my hands on; another Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter, this time in the shade 'Sorbet' which is one of the newer shades introduced in the last few months. I have already reviewed four other shades of the lip butters ('Peach Parfait', 'Sweet Tart', 'Candy Apple' and 'Tutti Frutti') so I will try and keep it short and sweet.
The lip butters have the most gorgeous texture and this shade is no different. It glides on so smoothly and doesn't pull at all, leaving a slightly glossy finish on your lips. This shade feels a little sturdier in the bullet than some of the other shades, though this could be coincidence. Some of my other lip butter shades have melted or broken very easily, but this shade feels pretty strong and as though it would take more to break it which is a relief!
The staying power isn't brilliant, though I find the brighter shades such as this do stay on longer than the more neutral shades. However, it does wear off nice and evenly and is nothing a quick reapplication now and again can't fix.
As you can see above and below, 'Sorbet' is a beautiful bright candy pink that is a little deeper than the other pink I own, 'Sweet Tart'. It really is a perfect Summer shade and would suit most people I feel, as it doesn't transfer as bright onto your lips as it appears in the bullet.
Left- Swatch built up, Right- Swatched once
To finish off, this is definitely going to be one of my staple Summer lip products! I have yet to be disappointed by Revlon and this purchase is just another reason to prolong my Revlon love affair.
The Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters are available from Boots and Superdrug for £7.99, though are often included in 3-for-2 offers so keep a beady eye out!
What do you think? Which shades of lip butter do you love?
