Nail of the Day: Pastel Blue Polkadots
Sunday, 26 May 2013 17:41
I'm quite excited today, as today is the first time I have painted my nails in a whopping 5 months! I decided to take a break from nail painting as my nails were so brittle and stained from so much nail painting, that they just didn't look very nice anymore and it was getting me down. However, it has taken a while but my nails are now so strong again and they aren't at all broken which is such a relief!
Today's nail art features Models Own's 'Beth's Blue' as a base, with a generic Technic white to make the polkadots. I used the end of a kirby grip/hair pin to make the dots, which takes patience but is actually very simple and quick to do.
I used OPI Nail Envy as my base coat and Sally Hansen's 'Insta Dri' top coat.
I think this is one of my favourite nail art designs yet! What do you think?

ReplyDeleteI did a nail look similiar to this. I just used a nice pastel orange instead of your blue. That blue is very nice :) x

Oh wow, I was saying today that I think it'd look really nice with pastel orange! Would love to see that :) will have to have a look!xxx
DeleteI'm about to paint my nails beth blue but without the polka dots i did them a zillion times last night and ended up taking it off this morning. Seriously having a can't do dots day lol. I'm going to top mine with indian ocean due to it being so sheer i use less of it by having beths blue has a base. I love these the dots are perfect. xx
