Benefit 'Rockateur' Blush Box: Review and Swatch
Thursday, 16 January 2014 10:30
If you saw my recent 'What I got for Christmas' post you will know I was extremely lucky and received my first ever Benefit Blush Box. This is one of the more recent releases from Benefit and the minute I saw it I knew I would love to try it. It is of course the infamous 'Rockateur' Blush Box.
'Rockateur' is described as a rose gold shade, but in the box I think it looks more on the pinky side. However, when applied it is the most beautifully subtle dusky pink with a hint of golden shimmer that catches the light almost iridescently.
As I mentioned, the colour is really subtle and for that reason I believe it would suit almost anybody. It is also really easy to apply as you can't be too heavy-handed with it, but can build it up gradually for a stronger look. I have only had it for a few weeks but I don't think I have worn another blush since I received it!
The quality of the powder is excellent, the pigmentation is perfect and the texture is smooth. The packaging isn't to everybody's taste from what I have read of other reviews, but I love it! I think it is edgy and beats the packaging of all other blushes I own. The fact it comes with a mirror and brush in the box is also handy and helps to soften the blow of the high end price of the blush.
I wouldn't normally spend this much on a blush and received this as a gift, but after trying this I would definitely pay the price when I run out.
You can buy Benefit 'Rockateur' Blush Box here for £23.50. What do you think? Have you tried this yourself?

Great review! I've been wanting this blush for a while, but something is holding me back... I keep telling myself I probably own a similar shade somewhere in my collection, but I'm not entirely sure either. Ah... decisions, decisions!
