Today's post is about a cult beauty favourite- the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. I've been wanting to try this for the longest time, but I couldn't bring myself to spend a minimum of £9 on a cleanser. So, when Liz Earle visited my place of work last week, I made sure I was in the queue to get a sample- with a view to repurchasing if I liked it.
The sample I got was really generous, including a 50ml pump bottle of the cleanser and a full size muslin cloth. They came in a gorgeous little mint green travel pouch which will come in really handy for travel.
The Cleanse & Polish is a two step product, as the name might suggest. To begin, you gently massage the cleanser into your face and neck. You then wet the muslin cloth with warm water and 'polish' off the cream, getting rid of any dead skin cells to leave your skin feeling fresh and clean. The cleanser is designed for all skin types and all ages and have naturally active ingredients, designed to leave skin feeling really clean and supple.
I found the whole process of using this cleanser really luxurious! It has a gorgeous thick consistency that left my skin feeling a little tingly, which I really like. I thought that it might irritate my eyes but it really didn't, even when I rubbed it into my lashes to remove stubborn mascara. The muslin cloth was great for getting rid of the dry patches on my face. I can honestly say that I've never used a cleanser that made my skin feel as clean and soft as the Cleanse & Polish. I would repurchase this in a heartbeat!
What do you think to the Cleanse & Polish? Have you tried any other hot cloth cleansers?
