Today's post is an exciting one for me- a review of my new favourite eye shadow palette, Naked 2 from Urban Decay. I was lucky enough to receive this for Christmas from my parents and there's barely been a day since then that I haven't used it!
Urban Decay has long been my favourite brand for eye shadows. I think their shade range, pigmentation and longevity is difficult to rival. I am quite late to the 'Naked' party (not in that way!) but really wanted to share my thoughts of this palette, which is the second offering in the Naked palette series.
There are 12 shadows in the palette that are designed to be easy, wearable, everyday shades. The shade range is brilliant; from matte highlighting shades to the blackest matte. There is a good mix of matte and shimmer shades so I find it is easy to create a variety of looks- especially a bronze smoky eye or subtle nude look.
The colour pay off varies from shade to shade, with the highlighting shades being the most subtle. All shades are also really long lasting, although I always wear a primer underneath to be safe.
The packing is gorgeous, Urban Decay never fail on that count! The tin isn't the smallest so it isn't the best for travel, but it would still be a travel staple for me regardless.
The palette also comes with a double ended shadow brush. One end has a versatile all-over lid brush and the other end is more of a flat shader brush. The quality of the brush is actually really good! A definite bonus.
L-R: Foxy, Half Baked, Booty Call, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect
L-R: Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted, Blackout
To summarize, I absolutely love this palette! The quality is amazing, the range is brilliant, the packaging is gorgeous- I could go on! I am definitely interested in trying most of the Naked range. They are definitely not the cheapest, but I think they are definitely worth the money. I would love to try the Naked blush palettes next- if anyone has written a review on them please let me know!
What do you think? Which shades are your favourites?
