Review: Miners Cosmetics Tin o' TintsFriday, 6 February 2015 10:00
Anybody who has been following my blog for a long time will know how much I love Miners Cosmetics. One of their most well known and loved products is what I am going to talk about today- the Tin o' Tints*. These are lip balms with a sheer hint of colour, that each have a divine fruity scent. I've actually been lucky enough to be sent a few of these from Miners over the past year, but I actually purchased two of these myself when I first discovered Miners 2 or 3 years ago.
The 3 flavours I have are 'Cocoa Bean', 'Mango' and 'Strawberry'. I also have the 'Pink Grapefruit' one, but I can't find it for the life of me!
The first thing I will mention is the packaging. The tins are gorgeous, they feel such good quality and they are perfect for throwing in your handbag without the worry of the lid falling off and making a mess.
The texture of the balms is something quite unique, unlike anything else I've tried. They are smooth and creamy, which I wasn't quite expecting at first as they look a little like the Vaseline lip balms which are more jelly-like. They aren't at all sticky either, they just feel really nourishing and light to wear.
Each flavour is a different shade also, which I love! The colour pay-off is surprisingly good, but when applied to the lips they offer a sheer wash of colour. I definitely feel that the Strawberry flavour has the strongest pay-off, leaving a gorgeous red tint. The colour wears off nicely too, not at all patchy.
Finally, the best bit for me- the scents! The scents are quite strong, but they are all absolutely gorgeous. The shades I have are all quite fruity, and all are true to their names. My favourite has to be the Strawberry one, it smells good enough to eat (though I wouldn't recommend trying that!).
The Miners Cosmetics Tin o' Tints are just £2.99 each, which I think is an absolute steal! They feel like premium products and are a staple in my handbag. You can buy them from the Miners website here,
What do you think to these? Have you tried Miners Cosmetics?
