Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in 'Love Liberty'Friday, 5 February 2016 12:00
In the past few months I think I have gone a little overboard with the number of lipsticks I've added to my collection. Until very recently I didn't think I would ever find a lipstick formula to rival MAC, but that all changed when my friend Sarah introduced me to the Charlotte Tilbury Matt Revolution lipsticks.
The shade I plumped for was 'Love Liberty', a gorgeous deep raspberry pink. I love my berry shades and so this shade jumped out at me as soon as I laid eyes on it.
The formulation of these lipsticks is out of this world- they have a matte finish but are so creamy to apply. Unlike many matte lipsticks, this just glides over any imperfections on my lips and makes them look almost flawless! The matte formula is super long lasting too, even when eating and drinking. I love pairing this lipstick with a subtle grey smoky eye for an evening out.
The packaging on the Matte Revolution lipsticks is dreamy too. They have a weight to them and are a beautiful rose gold colour. One of my favourite things about them is the shade of the lipstick in the bullet- it is really unique, with a squared flat edge to make it really easy to add a defined shape to your lips.
I really can't speak highly enough about this and I'd love to try more shades! At £23 a pop they are definitely more of an occasional treat, but if you are looking for a lipstick that feels just a little bit special, this is definitely the one I would recommend.
What do you think? Have you tried any other shades of the Matte Revolution lipsticks?
