Pixi Mesmerizing Mineral Palette Silver Sky

Today's post is going to focus on the Pixi Beauty Mesmerizing Mineral Palette in 'Silver Sky'. I was lucky enough to get this as a birthday present from my sister last year and I've been really enjoying it recently!

Pixi is a brand that has been around for a while and I know you can buy their products from Marks and Spencers, but recently I've heard a lot of noise about the brand from others in the blogosphere. This palette is the first thing I've tried from the brand, but I would definitely love to try more products so any recommendations are very welcome.

The packaging is really nice. I love the clear lid and the fact it feels sturdy, I wouldn't hesitate to put it in my handbag as I don't feel like it would come open. I also love the rose gold details!

This palette comes with 6 gorgeous shades and a double ended sponge applicator. I have the palette called 'Silver Sky', which has such a gorgeous range of shades from a bright white to the deepest starry navy. The wide range of shades in this palette means there are so many looks that can be created. I've created more natural, everyday looks with the cream shade and the brownish shade beneath it, but I've also created more of a smoky eye using the blue and silver. It would make the perfect travel palette as you could easily turn your look from day to night.

The texture of the shadows is something really special. They feel silky to the touch and glide on so easily. I tend to use brushes to apply them rather than the sponge applicator however as I think they are easier to control. The pigmentation varies of shade to shade, but overall they are highly pigmented and easily buildable. This is great if you are someone who can have a tendency to be a little handed when applying eyeshadow (as I often can be!).

I really love this palette! I'd definitely love to try more from the brand. What do you think to this palette? Would you recommend anything else from Pixi Beauty?
